The 64500 GM Harmonic Damper Holding Tool is engineered to assist in the removal and installation of the crankshaft damper bolt on GM inline engines. These bolts are extremely tight and difficult to handle without the proper tool. Designed specifically for 4.2L L6, 3.5L L5, and 2.8L L4 engines, this tool securely holds the damper pulley in place, allowing precise torque application—meeting factory specs of 110 lbs.-ft. plus 180° rotation.
